What do we call

Data Center Management?

Many solutions exist today, which call themselves Data Center Management. Starting from management software integration to power consumption measurement. Taking this into account the RMS product family could be called True Data Center Management. It is capable of providing a functionality,

which truly prevents physical on-site interaction. Collect data of all parameters and peripherals, control operation, alarm and report remotely and out-of-band if necessary. From temperature, power, installed equipment to lighting, access, security, you name it... this is True Data Center Management!

Benefits

Surely it is fashionable to talk about green technologies, but what are the benefits and which technologies can truly save cost?
RMS approaches straight away the most obvious areas of interaction:

Power management

Measure power consumption, electric values and UPS parameters for alarm, control, evaluation or billing purposes. Switch outlets on or off for restarting or hot swapping equipment. Receive alarms and notifications through SMS or email, or simply display data and control options in a tailored application.

Climate management

Measure temperature and humidity, specify hot spots and vapour condensation spots. Alarm if anomalies occur. Control A/C or F/C unit through relay outputs, RS232, IR or LAN. The system is able to send alarms for pre-defined values.

Equipment management

Access all remote query access enabled equipment through RS232, RS485, LAN or USB. Configure and manage parameters and read data remotely. Just as power and climate data, working parameters are displayed conveniently at management site.

Building automation

Switch lights off automatically if left on, or if natural light is provided. Control shades to decrease A/C consumption. Detect presence for automatic switching of parameters.

Access control, Security

Determine authentication methods, manage access and monitor security. Integrate CCTV footage into the display application for full overview.

Alarms

Receive alarms upon device, power or A/C failures, as well as unauthorized access or in the event of fire or water breaking in.

System overview

Modularity and Scalability

The RMS system builds up by a large variation of modules, which have their specific functions. Combine these modules to get the functionality you desire in the size you need to cover. From one rack to 1000 sites, RMS can cover the whole infrastructure.

Flexibility

Determine, how you would like to monitor and access data. RMS has its own script language to process the event based data flowing into the system. This flexible design, lets you specify the display platform to the smallest details, customize its appearance and determine control and authentication options.
